Eleven college scholars from poor Moro families, supported by the office of Bangsamoro regional lawmaker Sha Elijah Dumama-Alba, graduated with high honors from various universities in the autonomous region.

The scholars, who completed four-year courses this year, were part of Dumama-Alba's Kaalalai Scholarship Program, which aims to provide quality education and foster peace in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.Seven of the graduates earned Cum Laude distinctions, while others received Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude honors.Their families expressed gratitude for the scholarship support, which enabled them to complete their education despite financial struggles.Dumama-Alba's program is part of the BARMM government's initiative to empower communities through education.

One graduate, Adam Nanding, shared how the scholarship helped him overcome personal hardships after his father's death during his elementary years.The achievements highlight the impact of educational support programs in marginalized regions.
