The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations for 2026 have been announced, with HBO Max's 'The Pitt' leading all nominees with 25 nods, while 'Hacks' tops comedies with 24.

'The Pitt,' a sophomore drama series, dominated acting categories, securing four supporting actress spots and three supporting actor nominations.Its cast includes Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa, Taylor Dearden, Fiona Dourif, and Sepideh Moafi.

'Hacks,' in its final season, maintained its dominance in comedies, with Jean Smart (best actress) and Hannah Einbinder (supporting actress) receiving fifth nominations.

Other notable entries include AppleTV+'s 'Pluribus' (18 nods) and 'Widow’s Bay' (19 nods), as well as Netflix's 'Beef' (16 nominations).The awards ceremony, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, will air on NBC on September 14 at the Peacock Theater.
