However, an anonymous official from the event organisers confirmed that the walk will proceed as planned, emphasizing that it is not a race but a community walk.The official noted that temporary licenses were not involved, which they believe is why the event is not affiliated with CGA.

CGA reiterated that their decision was in the best interests of athletics and stakeholders, but they have formally distanced themselves from the event.The walk will start at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg with different distances for various age groups, finishing at Johannesburg Stadium.Organisers remain committed to holding the event, highlighting its community-focused nature despite the lack of official sanctioning.
