Three Former TMC Rajya Sabha MPs Switch Allegiances to BJP Amid Factional Struggles
In New Delhi, the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar against alleged examination irregularities has entered its 20th day.Abhijeet Dipke, founder of Cockroach Janta Party, has raised serious concerns after a video he posted on social media was reportedly blocked by the government.
In the video, Dipke was seen pleading with Delhi Police officials to allow tarpaulins or tents at the protest site as heavy monsoon rains lashed the national capital, leaving young students drenched and vulnerable.
He highlighted how students aged 19-20 years spent a sleepless night with soaked mattresses and belongings, while police personnel remained dry and comfortable in their uniforms.Dipke questioned the fairness of the situation and asked what was objectionable in his appeal for basic shelter for the protesters.
The protestors are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and greater accountability over paper leaks and other irregularities in examinations.Meanwhile, the health of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is on an indefinite fast in support of the cause, has deteriorated further. He has lost over seven kilograms in 11 days.Another activist, Hrishikesh from AISA, was hospitalised due to complications from his hunger strike.
This incident has sparked discussions on the handling of protests during adverse weather conditions and freedom of expression on social media platforms in India.Dipke shared screenshots showing the original post and its blocked status, urging people to note the lack of any objectionable content in his plea.
