Rahul Gandhi's Campaign and CJP Protest Developments
Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, has publicly thanked Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray for his support to the CJP (Congress of Progressive Journalists) and activist Sonam Wangchuk during their ongoing protest against alleged irregularities in the NEET exam.
The protest, which began 25 days ago at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, has seen Wangchuk, a climate activist and educator, join the movement on June 28 and initiate an indefinite hunger strike.
The CJP is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and ₹1 crore compensation for families of students who died by suicide following the NEET paper leak in May.The medical entrance exam was re-conducted last month.Dipke highlighted Thackeray's appeal to end Wangchuk's hunger strike, emphasizing his deteriorating health.
Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray also endorsed the protest, calling it a matter beyond politics that reflects the struggles of students affected by the government's handling of the situation.The protest includes a march to Parliament on July 20, underscoring the growing public concern over exam conduct and accountability.
