Croatian veteran Luka Modric has officially extended his contract with AC Milan by one season, keeping him at the Serie A club until June 30, 2027.The midfielder, who turns 41 in less than two months, joined Milan in 2025 and scored two goals in 37 matches last season.Despite his age, Modric remains a key player for Milan, with the club praising him as one of the finest players in world football.

His career includes a 2018 World Cup final appearance with Croatia, winning the Ballon d’Or that year, and six Champions League titles with Real Madrid (2012-2025).This summer, he led Croatia to the round of 32 at the World Cup before they were eliminated by Portugal.

AC Milan, who finished fifth in Serie A last season, have appointed new manager Ruben Amorim and made high-profile signings like Goncalo Ramos (€80m) and Mario Gila (€30m) to strengthen their squad for the 2026/27 campaign.
