This initiative addresses long-standing political tensions through institutional reforms, including reviewing electoral systems, public services, justice mechanisms, local governance, and rebuilding trust in institutions.A joint committee will oversee these reviews, leading to the creation of an implementation body to ensure tangible progress.

Othman emphasized that the goal is to build strong institutions and a peaceful environment for investment, positioning reconciliation as a national project.He called on citizens to support the process, acknowledging its success depends on effective execution.

Zanzibar's economic potential, particularly in trade and the blue economy, hinges on maintaining peace and stability through genuine reconciliation.
