U.S.Representative Anna Paulina Luna of Florida is alleged to have shared confidential information about Donald Trump’s choice of JD Vance as his 2024 vice-presidential running mate with a MAGA influencer known as DC Draino, prompting a Polymarket bet that reportedly led to federal regulatory scrutiny.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Luna allegedly disclosed her knowledge during a summer 2024 lunch at Stovall House in Tampa, urging the influencer to invest more in the wager.
This incident has triggered an investigation by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), though both Luna and Draino have denied any wrongdoing.
Luna’s spokesperson stated she filed a criminal complaint against those who falsely reported her actions, while Draino claimed ignorance of the investigation.
