An American company, Central Moloney Inc., has announced plans to close its Fraser Valley industrial plant in Chilliwack, British Columbia, which was acquired two years ago.The closure, expected by the end of August 2026, will result in the loss of 43 jobs.Cam Tran, the company that previously operated the plant, manufactures and repairs transformers, with BC Hydro as one of its key clients.The decision to consolidate Canadian operations has raised concerns among local workers and government officials.
