Cleveland Browns General Manager Andrew Berry emphasized that newly acquired edge rusher Jared Verse was the most important component of the team's return package in the blockbuster trade that sent Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams.

Speaking to reporters, Berry explained that while Garrett was the centerpiece of the overall transaction, the inclusion of Verse was what made the deal attractive and realistic for Cleveland.Berry described Verse as an outstanding young player and an ideal fit for the Browns' aggressive defensive scheme.

He highlighted Verse's ability to impact games both as a pass rusher and run defender, noting that his style and skill set align perfectly with the identity Cleveland has built on defense over recent seasons.
