Friends and community members have also donated, with contributions ranging from $1,000 to $10,000, to help Mattaboni’s wife, Shirene, and their two young daughters.The 38-year-old father was spearfishing near Horseshoe Reef when the attack occurred.Despite immediate CPR from friends and paramedics’ intervention, he could not be saved.Mattaboni was remembered as a devoted father, loving husband, experienced fisherman, and passionate spearfisherman.He also co-founded Casana Studio with his wife and worked as a surveyor.The local community, including the Kingsley Football Club where he played, has rallied around the family.The fundraiser aims to provide practical and emotional support during this incredibly difficult time.Friends and family continue to urge contributions of any size to help the young family in the months and years ahead.
