The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) has officially nominated Ibrahim Adamu Bala as the running mate for Governor Seyi Makinde in the 2027 presidential election.This choice gives the party a South-North ticket, with Bala hailing from Bauchi State.

A senior APM official confirmed that Makinde completed his nomination process with Bala, emphasizing that submitting a presidential bid requires a running mate.

The official clarified that there's no connection between the vice-presidential candidate and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who is running for Senate.The APM and Makinde have not yet issued an official statement about the choice, though Bala’s name appears on the INEC nomination portal.

Makinde, in his second term as Oyo State governor, declared his presidential bid at a joint rally with APM, pledging to tackle insecurity, unemployment, and economic challenges.The alliance between PDP and APM aims to field candidates for all levels of government and urges opposition unity ahead of the 2027 election.
