Pakistan mediates between Libya's rival factions to promote unity
Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), has reaffirmed Pakistan's resolve to eradicate terrorism originating from across borders through decisive military action.
Speaking at the National Defence University (NDU), he emphasized the need for strategic clarity and institutional professionalism to address evolving warfare dynamics.
The army chief highlighted the role of premier institutions like NDU in preparing military-civil leaders to counter hybrid, conventional, and sub-conventional threats.
He reiterated that Pakistan's armed forces are recalibrating strategies to combat state-sponsored destabilization efforts by hostile intelligence agencies.
Munir stressed that terrorist sanctuaries and their facilitators will be dismantled with national support, underscoring that wars are won through faith, unity, and discipline rather than political rhetoric.
The address also underscored confidence in the armed forces' operational readiness and urged graduates to uphold values of integrity and selfless service.
The statement comes amid ongoing security challenges in regions like Balochistan, where recent operations have resulted in significant casualties among militants and security forces.
