Arsenal to hold Premier League trophy parade in north London with detailed route announced

Arsenal will celebrate their Premier League title with a trophy parade in north London on Sunday 31 May, despite a disappointing Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties.

The club confirmed that both the men’s and women’s teams will take part in the celebrations, marking a significant moment after a successful season in domestic competition. The women’s side will also be recognised for their achievements, having won a major European title earlier in the campaign. The parade is scheduled to begin at 2pm BST and will follow a detailed route through Islington. The procession will start on Holloway Road near Drayton Park and continue east along Seven Sisters Road.

It will then pass through several local streets including Blackstock Road, Mount Grove Road, and Green Lanes before moving south via Petherton Road, Beresford Road, Newington Green Road, and Essex Road.

The route will then turn north at Angel Underground Station and proceed onto Upper Street, before heading back towards Highbury and Islington Station and returning to Holloway Road.Arsenal have warned supporters that significant disruption is expected in the area.

Roads around the Emirates Stadium, Drayton Park, and surrounding streets will be closed for much of the day, with restrictions in place from early morning until the evening. The club has also advised fans not to gather in certain nearby locations where visibility of the parade buses will be limited.Public transport is expected to be extremely busy, with queues anticipated at nearby Tube and bus stations.Supporters have been urged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and check Transport for London updates for real-time service information.

The timing of the parade has also been influenced by international commitments, as many players will soon join their national teams ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
