The Baguio Regional Trial Court (RTC) and Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) have issued a face mask advisory for all individuals entering the Hall of Justice after a court employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The advisory, which covers both the main and annex areas of the courthouse, comes amid rising cases in Metro Manila, with Quezon City reporting 84 new infections between June 11 and July 1.While the advisory is voluntary, court officials emphasize its importance in preventing virus transmission.The measure follows a confirmed case in Baguio and reports of increasing infections in the capital region.Approximately 86% of patients experienced mild symptoms and were treated as outpatients, while 14% required hospitalization.The courts distributed copies of the advisory to all relevant offices and urged compliance to ensure the safety of staff, litigants, and visitors.This decision reflects ongoing efforts to balance legal proceedings with public health protocols during the pandemic.
