The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has officially declared the United Bangsamoro Justice Party as the dominant majority party and the Bangsamoro Federalist Party as the minority party for the first parliamentary election in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

This decision, outlined in Resolution 11248, establishes the framework for the electoral process, ensuring that these parties receive special privileges such as official watchers in polling places and ex-officio membership in canvassing boards.Among the 11 accredited regional parliamentary parties, nine are qualified to participate in the September 14 elections.These include parties like the Bangsamoro Empowerment and Social Transformation Party and the People’s Consultative Party.

The selection criteria involved assessing the parties' ability to field complete candidate slates, the number of municipal chapters, and the proportion of women candidates.Accredited parties will receive certificates of accreditation, with dominant parties receiving the sixth and seventh copies of election returns.The resolution also outlines the roles and responsibilities of these parties in the electoral process, emphasizing transparency and participation.
