In Cotabato City, top officials from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) have shown strong support for better collaboration between the national government and local stakeholders.

This includes Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua and all five provincial governors: Lanao del Sur Governor Bombit Adiong, Tawi-Tawi Governor Mang Sali, Maguindanao del Sur Governor Kagui Ali Midtimbang, Maguindanao del Norte Governor Tucao Mastura, and Basilan Governor Mujiv Hataman.They were joined by BARMM Local Government Minister Jordan Bayam.The meeting was a response to the call made by Special Assistant to the President Anton Lagdameo Jr.for improved working ties to promote peace and development in the region.Minister Bayam highlighted that such partnership is very important for advancing peace, effective governance, and development programs in BARMM.He described Lagdameo as a trusted bridge who makes sure the concerns of the Bangsamoro people reach the national level.Bayam noted that Lagdameo's efforts have helped maintain open communication despite the unique governance setup of the autonomous region.

This support echoes Lagdameo's recent statements during the 145th Full Council Meeting of the Regional Development Council-X and the 2026 State of the Region Address in Cagayan de Oro.Speaking for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
