During the filming of the final episode of the original Twin Peaks series in 1991, actor Richard Beymer, known for his role as Benjamin Horne in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, captured a remarkable collection of black and white behind-the-scenes photographs.

With David Lynch’s permission, Beymer used his own Olympus camera to document the last days on set, particularly after the in-house photographer had left following the series’ cancellation.

These images, often taken in the haunting Black Lodge set, offer fans a unique and intimate glimpse of the cast and crew at work, including candid moments of key characters like Killer Bob, David Lynch himself, and other major actors during breaks from filming.

Over time, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me has been reassessed and is now considered one of Lynch’s major works, gaining critical acclaim and cultural recognition.

In 2017, the series returned for a third season, revisiting plot threads from the film, and in 2019, the British Film Institute ranked Fire Walk with Me as the fourth-best film of the 1990s.

Beymer’s photographs remain an important visual record of this influential television production and continue to captivate Twin Peaks enthusiasts worldwide.
