The Benue State Police Command has arrested seven additional suspects, including four traditional chiefs and an 80-year-old man, in connection with the murder of Ardo Risku Mohammad, chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) Benue State chapter, and Yakubu Isa.The killings occurred on June 26, 2026, in Okudu community while the victims were returning from a peace meeting in Ohimini LGA.The arrests followed sustained intelligence gathering, investigation, and tactical operations by police operatives.

The suspects identified include Chief Morgan Ejaga, Chief Moses Anteyi, Chief John Ogli, Chief Yawuhu Adaji, Sylvester Ajonye, Aba Alexander Uloko, and Fidelis Iduma.

Commissioner of Police Cletus Nwadiogbu commended the investigating teams for their commitment and assured residents that the investigation remains active, with all involved facing justice.He urged the public to support the police with credible information to ensure justice for the victims and maintain peace in the state.
