Sports betting firm betPawa has renewed its sponsorship of the Basketball Dar es Salaam League (BDL), allocating Sh588.9 million for the 2026 season.The Locker Room Bonus (LRB) program will reward players and technical staff with Sh88,750 each after every league victory.Twelve players and four officials from winning teams will receive payments, enhancing competitiveness and professionalism.BetPawa's Regional Manager, Bwalya Noah, emphasized that the initiative recognizes player efforts and ensures financial rewards for success.The partnership, welcomed by BDL president Shendu Hamis, aims to elevate basketball standards in Tanzania.BetPawa also plans to improve administration through player registration and match reporting.The sponsorship is expected to strengthen the sport's infrastructure and create opportunities for Tanzanian athletes.This development highlights growing investment in sports development across East Africa.
