Quarterback Cody Fajardo delivered the best performance of his professional career, completing a remarkable 510 passing yards and four touchdown passes, while kicker Vincent Blanchard secured the win with a 57-yard field goal as time expired.The contest featured seven lead changes and remained competitive throughout.

Fajardo developed an outstanding connection with receiver Austin Mack, who finished with 173 receiving yards and two long touchdown catches, including scoring plays of 57 and 81 yards that repeatedly restored Edmonton's lead.TJ Luther also made a significant contribution with 10 receptions for 157 yards.Saskatchewan remained within striking distance thanks to quarterback Trevor Harris, who threw for 386 yards and four touchdowns.

After kicker Alex Hale tied the game late with a short field goal, Edmonton mounted one final drive, allowing Blanchard to convert the game-winning kick from midfield.The victory improved the Elks' record to 6-1, marking their strongest start since the 2017 season, while the Roughriders fell to 4-2.

The game was played under emotional circumstances following the deaths of Riders linebacker Jayden Dalke and Regina resident Bhishma Rajyaguru in a vehicle collision earlier in the week.Both were honoured with pre-game tributes and a moment of silence.
