Naija News reports that Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy and Colombian pop icon Shakira have reunited ahead of Sunday’s historic FIFA World Cup final halftime show.

The duo, who previously performed the official anthem Dai Dai at the opening ceremony in Mexico City, are currently rehearsing at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey for the landmark event.

Burna Boy shared a video on his 𝕏 account showing the pair embracing and exchanging smiles during preparations, captioning it with excitement for the performance.

FIFA confirmed that they will perform Dai Dai during the tournament’s first-ever Super Bowl-style halftime show, which will extend the traditional 15-minute break to about 30 minutes.The event also features other global acts like BTS, Madonna, Justin Bieber, and Coldplay, alongside educational initiatives for children.This marks a significant shift from football’s usual final format, blending sports with entertainment on an unprecedented scale.
