The Calgary Stampeders have signed Canadian wide receiver Damien Alford and defensive back Lance Boykin, adding depth to their roster for the 2025 CFL season.Alford, selected first overall in the 2025 CFL draft from Syracuse, totaled 20 receptions for 407 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games last season.After playing for the NFL's New Orleans Saints, he was waived in June 2026.

Boykin, a 25-year-old American, previously played for the Seattle Seahawks and the United Football League's Memphis Showboats and Birmingham Stallions.Stampeders GM Dave Dickenson praised Alford's talent, stating he will make the team 'even more explosive as an offence.' The signings come as the team prepares for the 2025 season, with the Grey Cup set to be held in Calgary in November.
