R&B singer Chris Brown has pleaded guilty to affray at Southwark Crown Court in London, marking a partial resolution to a legal case that began with an alleged nightclub attack in 2023.

The 37-year-old artist entered a guilty plea during a brief five-minute hearing alongside co-defendant rapper Omololu Akinlolu, who also pleaded guilty.Two additional charges against Brown, including assault and weapon possession, were dropped.Brown was released on bail and faces sentencing in October, with the affray charge carrying a maximum three-year sentence.The incident occurred when Brown allegedly struck music producer Abe Diaw with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub.Initially denying involvement, Brown was arrested in May 2025 and charged with grievous bodily harm, though that charge was dropped.He posted £5 million bail, allowing him to continue his tour.His court appearance drew significant attention, highlighting his enduring public profile despite the legal issues.
