At the 2026 Cricket South Africa (CSA) Awards, Proteas Men’s T20I captain Aiden Markram and Women’s skipper Laura Wolvaardt were crowned King and Queen of the ball, respectively.Wolvaardt, 27, secured a record-equalling third SA Women’s Player of the Year title, along with accolades for her performances in ODIs and T20Is.

Her leadership guided the Proteas Women to their maiden ODI World Cup final, where she became the first woman to score centuries in both the semi-final and final.

Markram, meanwhile, claimed the SA Men’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year titles, with his standout performance in the World Test Championship final against Australia at Lord’s.

Other notable winners included Simon Harmer (Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year), Lungi Ngidi (Men’s T20 Player of the Year), and Dewald Brevis (International Men’s Newcomer of the Year).The awards highlighted South Africa’s cricketing achievements, with a focus on excellence across formats and contributions to the sport’s growth.
