Rigathi Gachagua, leader of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), has urged Nakuru Senator Irungu Kang’ata and the Linda Mwananchi movement to avoid interfering in the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election.

Gachagua emphasized that the DCP's campaign, led by Nyandarua Senator John Methu, is a local effort that doesn't require external intervention.He warned that Kang’ata's involvement could disrupt the campaign, which has been built on the ground for months.Gachagua also highlighted that Kang’ata lacks familiarity with the local issues and risks causing chaos.The DCP leader stressed that the campaign should remain a local affair, with the governor and local team handling the strategy.This comes as Linda Mwananchi, which Kang’ata recently joined, plans a political rally in Ol Kalou ahead of the by-election.The DCP's Sammy Ngotho faces off against UDA's Samuel Muchina and other candidates.Gachagua's stance reflects a broader effort to ensure the by-election remains a local contest, free from external pressures.
