The video, circulating on Facebook, mocked the 2016 arbitral award in the South China Sea, using AI-generated animation to portray monkey-like Filipinos confronting Chinese characters and showing scenes of violence against Filipino figures.Teodoro criticized the video as racist propaganda that reflects Beijing's view of Filipinos, calling it an act of dehumanization.

He emphasized that the video undermines China's moral and intellectual credibility, as it mocks the Philippines' legal victory and glorifies violence against Filipinos and soldiers.

The defense chief reiterated the government's policy of suspending defense engagements with the Chinese Communist Party and its agencies, accusing Beijing of resorting to racism and manufactured hatred due to its failure to defend its claims through legal means.The Department of Foreign Affairs also denounced the video and demanded its removal.China Daily and the Chinese Embassy in Manila have not yet responded to the defense department's statement.
