The Delhi Police has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in parts of New Delhi ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) proposed 'Chalo Sansad' march on July 20, 2026.

The restrictions come after the CJP announced a protest against alleged irregularities in the NEET examination and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Prohibited activities include public meetings, assemblies of five or more people, carrying weapons, shouting slogans, and processions without prior permission.The restrictions apply to areas under the Sub-Division Parliament Street, excluding Jantar Mantar Road, where permits may be granted after 5 PM.Violators face penalties under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).The police have increased surveillance and deployed additional personnel to ensure security during the Monsoon session of Parliament.
