Education Secretary Sonny Angara emphasized that physical activities are beneficial for young people, urging them to engage in sports instead of sedentary activities.Angara made these remarks during a visit with President Ferdinand Marcos to inspect facilities at the National Academy of Sports in New Clark City.The DepEd assured that facilities like the gymnastics hall and sports performance building will be fully operational.Meanwhile, classes at San Jose National High School in Tacloban were suspended due to an alleged threat, prompting heightened security measures.

The incident highlights the growing concern over youth engagement and safety, with authorities urging vigilance and collaboration between schools and local communities.
