DML 002 announce upcoming Afro-pop collaboration with Scar Mkadinali on new single 'Kizombi'

Emerging Kenyan Afro-pop duo DML 002, made up of Whity 002 and Dierxy 002 from Kwale County along the coast, is preparing to release a new single titled 'Kizombi' featuring rapper Scar Mkadinali from the well-known group Wakadinali.

The collaboration is scheduled for release on July 4 and has already started generating strong anticipation among fans of both Afro-pop and Kenyan hip-hop.

The duo explains that their music style blends soulful Afro-pop melodies with modern African rhythms, aiming to create a sound that reflects their coastal roots while appealing to a wider national audience.

According to the artistes, this project is part of their broader mission to take coastal music to a higher level and establish a unique identity in the Kenyan music industry.

Dierxy 002 emphasised that they want their sound to stand out with a distinct coastal flavour while still fitting into the evolving African music scene.
