Operatives from the Edo State Police Command successfully rescued Mr.Peter Balogun, a cattle dealer kidnapped by bandits, after a coordinated operation involving the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Violent Crime Response Unit, and Police Drone Unit.The incident began on July 7, 2026, when Balogun was abducted along the Igarra-Auchi Expressway.The police launched a sustained operation in the Imoga Forest area, using drone surveillance and aerial patrols to track the kidnappers.The suspects, unable to withstand the police pressure, abandoned Balogun upon sighting the police helicopter and fled deeper into the forest.The victim was later reunited with his family.
