Three people hospitalized following vehicle crash in Scarborough
On Thursday evening in Scarborough, a serious head-on collision resulted in one fatality and three serious injuries.Toronto police reported that the incident occurred around 10 p.m.at the intersection of Sheppard Avenue East and Vandorf Street.A Silver Nissan Altima, travelling north on Sheppard Avenue, crossed the centre line and collided with a Volkswagen Jetta head-on.The driver of the Nissan sustained life-threatening injuries, while the passenger of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.Both occupants of the Volkswagen Jetta—a man and a woman—were transported to hospital with serious injuries.Toronto police have launched an investigation into the crash and are asking anyone with information to come forward.The tragic event has prompted renewed calls for caution on city roads and highlights the ongoing risks of traffic collisions in the area.
