Analysis Argues Trump's More Aggressive Policy Ambitions Have Lost Momentum Amid Legal and Political Obstacles
Federal authorities have charged five men in connection with an alleged plot to attack a UFC event held at the White House as part of America's 250th anniversary celebrations.
The suspects, including Michael Alan Thomas and Bryan Omar Roa from Southern California, Tycen Proper from Ohio, Daniel Eskridge from Missouri, and Abraham Alvarez from Nebraska, face various federal charges related to the conspiracy.
According to court documents, the group planned to use explosive-laden drones and snipers to target crowds during the high-profile fight organized with involvement from President Donald Trump.Thomas reportedly told investigators that he believed the U.S.government is controlled by an elite group involved in sacrificing and consuming infants, with ties to Jeffrey Epstein, and protected by President Trump. He also expressed antisemitic views, blaming Jewish people and Israel for the war with Iran.
Co-defendant Proper maintained a journal listing about 46 targets, including celebrities and politicians, and referenced child sacrifice to a demonic figure. His family reported his admiration for Adolf Hitler and antisemitic online activity. The plot was allegedly funded in part by Proper's graduation money, used to purchase body armor, rifles, a shotgun, and ammunition. The group discussed needing additional funds for drones and explosives, with one suggestion involving panhandling.Proper had previously been hospitalized after expressing desires to join law enforcement to kill people. The investigation unraveled after Proper's mother contacted police on June 10, alarmed by his weapons purchases and behavior. She believed the group was manipulating her son with religion.Authorities seized weapons and disrupted the plan before the event.
This case highlights ongoing concerns about domestic extremism, conspiracy theories involving QAnon-like elements, antisemitism, and threats to public events.
The suspects are accused of conspiring to commit murder and other offenses, with the FBI crediting a family tip and swift action in preventing potential violence at a major national celebration.

Seriously disturbing stuff. This just underlines how dangerous these far-right conspiracy theories are. The delusion about government control, the antisemitism… it’s all a toxic stew. Glad the FBI caught this before anything happened, but we gotta address the root causes, not just arrest people. It's a symptom of deep societal problems.

Arrests r a band-aid. System’s rot runs deep. Root cause is capitalism & state power. Gotta dismantle, not just arrest.
