Square Enix has released update 1.5.0 for Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, adding several new features, gameplay improvements, and additional language support.

The headline addition is New Game+, which allows players to begin a new playthrough while carrying over important progress data such as unit levels and items from a completed save file.

Another notable feature is the Zodiac Compatibility function, which lets players view a unit's zodiac sign and compatibility directly from the status screen.The update also introduces a variety of quality-of-life enhancements.

Players can now inspect the status of units while selecting movement or ability targets, remove all equipment from a character with a single command, and more easily view job unlock requirements for classes that have not yet been unlocked.During battles, camera angle and zoom preferences are now retained throughout the encounter.
