Around 250 fisherfolk from Zambales will stage a symbolic sea action on July 5, 2026, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Philippines' 2016 arbitral victory over China's claims in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).Organized by the Atin Ito Coalition and local fishing associations, the event will begin at 6 a.m.at the Philippine Coast Guard station in Barangay Cawag, Subic.Participants will sail into Subic Bay to form a human Philippine flag and display 'WPS, ATIN ITO!' through coordinated boat formations by 8 a.m.A program led by fisherfolk leaders will follow at 9 a.m., ahead of the July 12 anniversary of the Hague ruling that invalidated China's South China Sea claims.

Despite the legal victory, fishermen continue facing harassment from Chinese Coast Guard vessels, restricting access to traditional fishing grounds and undermining livelihoods.The protest underscores ongoing tensions over maritime sovereignty and the need to protect Filipino rights in disputed waters.
