A 32-year-old foreign national was arrested following a high-speed police chase on the N2 Road in Somerset West, linked to multiple house robberies across the Western Cape.The suspect's vehicle, a grey Honda BRV, was connected to crimes including rape in areas like Bothasig, Table View, Stellenbosch, and Kleinmond.

During the pursuit, officers observed the suspect throwing bags out of the moving car, which later contained stolen technology and a firearm used in robberies.The arrest resulted in charges of possession of prohibited firearms, stolen property, immigration violations, and reckless driving.The vehicle was seized as evidence, marking a significant operation by the Somerset West Crime Prevention Unit to combat organized criminal activity.Police emphasized the suspect's foreign status and the severity of the crimes, highlighting ongoing efforts to address community safety concerns.
