Mike Sonko, former Nairobi governor, has celebrated Abdul Noor Mohammed (Jawe), a former gangster who transformed his life into becoming a landlord and property owner.During a ceremony, Sonko handed over title deeds and vehicle documents to Jawe's daughter, Susan Wangoi Wanjiku, for safekeeping.Jawe joined the Sonko Rescue Team years ago, where he coordinated funerals and rescue operations, which helped him rebuild his life.

Two years ago, Sonko gifted Jawe a Toyota Land Cruiser and supported him in acquiring a prime Juja plot, leading to the construction of a rental building.Jawe now owns multiple vehicles and boda bodas through his dedication.

Sonko emphasized that Jawe's discipline and hard work enabled this transformation, serving as an example of how individuals can change their lives through commitment.The event highlighted the positive impact of community support and personal effort in overcoming past challenges.
