Getdown Services reveal new album 'Massive Champion', share single and UK tour dates

Bristol-based band Getdown Services have unveiled their second studio album, 'Massive Champion', set for release on 14 August through Breakfast Records.

The announcement coincides with the release of their new single, 'I Can’t Die Like That', following their recent appearance on Later… with Jools Holland, where they performed 'The Radiator', another track featured on the album.

The band describe the record as an 'odyssey of anarchic joy, seditious wit and boundless energy', pushing their music into more emotional and experimental territories.

The single 'I Can’t Die Like That' carries a laid-back yet charismatic style, with lyrics reflecting on how simple experiences can become unexpectedly complex.

Getdown Services have also revealed extensive UK and Ireland tour dates starting in Cardiff on 19 November and concluding with two Bristol shows in January 2027.

Ahead of the headline tour, the band will perform at several festivals including Latitude, Green Man, and Truck Festival, and support acts such as The Courteeners in Manchester and appear at Harry Styles’ Meltdown festival in London.

The album features twelve tracks including 'Poor Bannister', 'Probiotic', and '600 Dance Lessons', promising the band’s most expansive sound to date.
