Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has reinstated Alhaji Abdullahi Idris as the Rekna of Bashar, the highest traditional ruler in the district, after his suspension in 2024.

The Bashar Chiefdom Community Development Association (BACCODA) praised the move as a landmark decision that showcases the governor's commitment to cultural preservation, grassroots unity, and peaceful coexistence.

The association highlighted that the reinstatement aligns with the people's desire to sustain traditional institutions and emphasizes the governor's dedication to communal harmony over political divides.This decision is expected to strengthen ongoing peace-building efforts in Wase Federal Constituency and the entire Plateau State.

BACCODA urged residents to support traditional rulers, maintain law and order, and collaborate with the state government and federal administration to drive sustainable development.

The move reflects a blend of modern governance and respect for indigenous traditions, positioning the governor as a leader who values both progress and heritage.
