Home Affairs Minister Patrobas Katambi has assured Tanzanians that the country remains peaceful and secure, stating there is no security threat despite reports of planned demonstrations on July 7, 2026.

Speaking at the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, Katambi emphasized that government and security agencies are fully prepared to safeguard peace and public order.Enhanced security measures, including increased police presence and stricter checks at the trade fair, have been implemented to prevent disruptions.

The minister warned against inciting violence or undermining national unity, stressing that all citizens must adhere to laws protecting public safety.Schools, businesses, and economic activities continue uninterrupted, reflecting the nation's stability.Authorities are also cracking down on misinformation and illegal content spread through media platforms.
