During the second day of Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment trial, the House prosecution team presented a video of President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.reacting to her alleged remark about contracting an assassin to kill him.The video, authenticated by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) senior agent John Mark Calilung, was shown in the Senate impeachment court.

Calilung testified that the reaction video was posted on the official website of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and included a screenshot of Marcos' statement.

In the video from November 2024, Marcos vowed to block 'criminal attempts' against him, his wife, and former Speaker Martin Romualdez, emphasizing that such threats should not be overlooked.The defense team argued that Duterte was exercising her freedom of expression regarding the alleged threat made during a virtual press conference.The prosecution is testifying on an impeachment article alleging a grave threat and assassination plot against the President and his family members.
