India has achieved a significant milestone in its space program by becoming the third country to demonstrate private orbital launch capability following the successful maiden flight of the Vikram-1 rocket.

Launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, the multi-stage vehicle carried four technology demonstration payloads to low Earth orbit (LEO), marking a major step toward commercial spaceflight from Indian soil.

The mission, led by Skyroot Aerospace, showcased indigenous technological advancements including all-carbon composite structures and 3D-printed engines.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the achievement as a defining moment for India's space journey, highlighting the growing role of private sector innovation.The payloads included satellites from Indian and international firms, along with symbolic artifacts honoring renowned scientists.This success positions India to increase its share in the global $600 billion space industry, aiming for $44 billion by 2032.

The mission underscores India's emerging prowess in aerospace technology and its potential to inspire future generations of engineers and entrepreneurs.
