Veteran Kenyan actress Jackie Matubia has shared an emotional account of an unexpected incident involving her long-term house help, who had worked for her for nearly five to six years.

According to Matubia, the domestic manager left her home without informing her, leaving her surprised and concerned about the sudden change in her household.

She narrated the events through social media, explaining how she first learned something was wrong when her driver informed her that the nanny was not at home and had gone to pick up the car while the house help was missing.Attempts to reach her through multiple phone numbers were unsuccessful as all her lines were switched off.Matubia also instructed the driver to pick up her daughter, Zendaya, from school while she tried to understand the situation.However, upon contacting the school, she discovered that the house help had already left.She rushed home from set and found that the employee had cleared her belongings, confirming that she had left permanently.

Matubia reflected that they had previously discussed retirement plans for the house help and that she had even supported her by purchasing items such as a washing machine.She also mentioned that the house help had once planned to start a business and that they had discussed financial support for her future plans.Despite earlier expectations of retirement and ongoing discussions about her future, the sudden departure came without notice.The actress noted her disappointment but also acknowledged the years of service provided.
