Johannesburg residents continue to grapple with water supply issues days after scheduled maintenance by Rand Water.The maintenance, which was planned from 7am to 7pm on July 17, left several reservoirs with critically low levels, resulting in intermittent supply and low pressure in areas like Yeoville, Brixton, and Northcliff.

Johannesburg Water spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala confirmed that while some regions have seen improvements, others remain under strain due to high demand and limited inflows.The Lenasia high-level reservoir and Meadowlands reservoirs are also recovering slowly.Shabalala urged residents to conserve water as the network stabilizes, noting that affected areas may change as reservoir levels improve.The situation highlights ongoing challenges in managing water resources in the city.
