Police in Kakamega County recovered three suspected stolen cattle after a high-speed chase that ended with a vehicle crashing into a ditch on the Mumias-Ekero road.The incident began when a driver attempted to evade a routine police checkpoint by making a sudden U-turn, prompting officers to pursue the vehicle.The chase culminated at Mushiangubu, where the driver lost control and crashed into a ditch.During the search of the wreckage, officers found the stolen cattle and arrested one suspect on the scene.Two others fled but are now being tracked by detectives.The National Police Service confirmed that the animals were safely escorted to Khwisero Police Station for identification by their owners.Authorities urged anyone who may have lost livestock in the area to come forward to claim their property.
