Passenger services now run regularly between Nairobi and Nyahururu with fixed schedules: departures from Nairobi on Tuesdays and Fridays, return trips from Nyahururu on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The line also supports the transportation of fertilizers and construction materials, aiding food security by making farm inputs accessible to farmers.Major companies like OCP Kenya and Bamburi Cement have expressed interest in using the railway for cargo.The service provides a safer, cheaper alternative to road transport while promoting regional trade and infrastructure development.Kenya Railways emphasized its role in driving socio-economic growth across counties like Nyandarua and Laikipia.
