The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) has issued a 24-hour weather forecast predicting mostly dry conditions across the country, with rainfall expected in the Rift Valley, Nyanza, Western, and Central Kenya regions.

Cloudy and cold spells are anticipated in the Highlands and South-Eastern lowlands, while strong winds will affect North Eastern, Coastal, and South-Eastern areas.The forecast highlights showers and thunderstorms in the Rift Valley and Lake Victoria Basin tonight, with sunny intervals expected by morning.

Counties like Kakamega, Kisumu, Kericho, and Nairobi will experience intermittent rain, while the North Eastern region will have partly cloudy skies with sunny intervals.Strong southerly winds exceeding 25 knots are expected in several areas, including Makueni, Kitui, and coastal counties.

The KMD's report also notes that the Highlands East of the Rift Valley will see partly cloudy conditions with a chance of showers, while the North Western region will remain partly cloudy throughout the day.This forecast is crucial for planning agricultural activities and ensuring public safety during weather changes.
