King David Junior School founder and director Ssekade Tadoe was among the 21 people who lost their lives in a tragic bus crash as the school group returned from an educational trip to Sipi Falls.

According to the report, 20 pupils and Tadoe, who was the only adult confirmed dead, died in the accident, leaving families, friends and the education community in deep mourning.Those who knew him described him as a humble, calm and hardworking leader who dedicated his life to improving access to education.Friends recalled that before establishing the school, Tadoe earned a living selling second-hand clothes at Owino Market.His journey into education reportedly began after his sister encouraged him to start a school.

Believing in the vision, he withdrew all the savings he had accumulated through his market SACCO and invested them in building King David Junior School from the ground up.Over the years, the institution grew steadily and earned a strong reputation, reflecting his determination and commitment to learners.His death alongside many of the pupils he had worked hard to educate has made the tragedy even more heartbreaking.

Friends and parents have described the loss as that of a visionary who invested his time, effort and personal resources into creating opportunities for children.

As condolences continue to pour in, many have remembered Tadoe for his resilience, generosity and unwavering belief that education could transform lives.

The tragedy has left the affected families and the wider community grieving the loss of both young learners and an educator whose lifelong dream ended in the same accident.
