A new opinion poll by Infotrack Research has revealed that Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is the most preferred running mate for President William Ruto ahead of the 2027 general election.

The survey, conducted on July 13, placed Kindiki at 34% nationally, significantly ahead of other candidates like Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi (2%) and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula (2%).Regional breakdowns showed Kindiki dominating in Mt.Kenya with 41% support, while Governor Gladys Wanga led in Nyanza and Western Kenya respondents favored Mudavadi.Analysts note Kindiki's strong position as Deputy President gives him visibility and proximity to the presidency, which shapes voter perceptions.
