The Kogi State Government has confirmed the successful rescue of four individuals kidnapped during an attack on an unauthorized examination center in Olowa, Dekina Local Government Area.

The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, revealed this in a statement, crediting Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's directive for coordinating a joint security operation involving the Nigerian Army, DSS, Police, and local vigilantes.The operation, which included a saturation of the forest with heavily armed personnel, led to the kidnappers abandoning their victims.All rescued individuals, including the school principal, NECO official, and two students, are reported to be safe and undergoing medical checks.The governor emphasized the state's commitment to justice, stating that no criminal will escape accountability.The success was attributed to inter-agency collaboration and the President's support for Kogi's security efforts.The incident highlights ongoing efforts to combat insecurity in the state.
